IC-Talk the Concept...

IC-Talk is in essence a combination of hardware and software packaged together and made to seamlessly integrate into a fully functional business grade telephone system. We have carefully selected the best standards compliant hardware, open source and commercial software and added some in-house created applications to create a highly flexible, easy to use and administer true Voice-over-IP telephone system at a realistic price.

Graphical example:

"An entire site installed & working within 2 days with more features and flexibility than any of our existing systems and around half the cost we were quoted for other systems with less features, coupled with the call savings make this the best telephone system we have ever seen."

IC-Talk Project Aims:-

  • Create a fully functional telephone system that replicated at least 90% of the functions found on a traditional telephone system but which ran over IP.
  • Handle existing phone technologies such as normal copper phones lines (Analogue), ISDN2 and ISDN30
  • Make an easy to deploy system taking most of the complexities out for the end user and allow the users to control the systems.
  • Keep the system built on 'Open Standards' to ensure the most flexibility and future proofing.
  • Make the system easily upgradeable.
  • Add new trunk technologies to the device allowing it to link both to other users and also to the new generation ITSP companies.
  • Add new directory services to allow for the ability to place calls directly over the Internet to end users or operators in the future.
  • Make an easily expandable system allowing users to grow and change the system as their business demands changed.
  • Highly optimise the system to make it run very large sites from simple inexpensive hardware.
  • debunk the myths surrounding VoIP, and what it means.
  • expand the choices available to SME customers, through cutting edge tools.
